Most of my formative years were spent in Guatemala. My parents were missionaries. My Central American adventures included monkey attacks, drive-by shootings and starting fires with the neighborhood friends. I survived it all.

Shortly after we moved back to the US in sixth grade, I discovered magic. I wanted to be a magician. I asked my brother to build me a website with his newly acquired HTML knowledge. He told me to build my own. Then he tossed me the book. I spent the summer learning web design and went to work with a local firm.

I sucked at first. But I got better.

In Corpus Christi, I tackled Marketing for my Bachelors degree. I worked at the student newspaper, the campus activities center, and Comp USA (I only lasted one day on that one).

After I graduating I worked full-time at my church. The church was small. I was 21. I had tons of energy. So I led worship, designed graphics and websites, built stages, led the production team, and tried my hand at video production. It’s tough being a one-man team.

I began blogging my angst in 2008. I posted my church’s stage design. It got lots of response. So I realized there might be a big need for stage design ideas. Thus I started Church Stage Design Ideas.
